Vision
The Business Manager will be responsible for general oversight of the administration of resources and people to ensure they serve the stated mission of Annunciation BVM Parish. He/she will possess particular governance over all financial related tasks and work closely with the Pastor and the Pastoral Team in creating a culture of missionary discipleship through established pastoral priorities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Mission Development: Collaborate with the Pastor to organize resources to achieve stated goals.
Team Leadership: Support and supervise members of the Pastoral Team to provide the proper guidance and coordination among strategic initiatives to bring identified plans to completion.
Human Resources: Assist the Pastor in professional development and personnel matters, including identifying and seeking out committed disciples to fill open positions and address needs of current Team.
Campus & Facilities Oversight: Guide property projects to completion by coordinating with different services to meet the parish's facility needs, including the rectory, church, school, convent, and parish hall. Oversee and serve as direct report for parish's Director of Facilities Management.
External Relationships: Ensure the parish meets all statutory and Archdiocesan reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner. Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with partners to support and advance the parish vision and mission. Represent the Pastor-when delegated-to external partners and communities.
Finance Affairs: All AR & AP transactions including account reconciliations to produce the required financial reporting. Asset management including equipment contracting and maintenance. Annual budgets and variance analysis of financial statements. Audit management including engagement and compliance. Advisory to Parish Finance Council.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a committed and engaged Catholic who is on fire with love for Jesus Christ and His Church. He/she must live the Faith vibrantly through participation in Sunday Mass, Holy Days of Obligation, and regular encounters with Jesus in the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist. He/she must be eager to share the Good News with others and live a life in congruence with the teachings of the Church.
He/she should also possess:
- A BS in Accounting and experience or certification in Church Management (commensurate experience will also be given due consideration).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Demonstrative experience in innovative approaches to problem solving.
- Commitment to professional growth and personal holiness.
- Critical Skills: Microsoft Office, Google Suite, QuickBooks. Financial budgeting and forecasting.
