RN and LPN - POOL

Villa Saint Joseph (VSJ) is currently seeking a Pool RN and LPN for various shifts including one weekend per month. VSJ offers a positive work environment.

Job Summary: To provide excellence in Nursing care to our Residents in collaboration with other healthcare team members. To ensure safety and promote independence when appropriate in a retirement setting.

• Oversees the care of residents and all the components of that care.
• Provide medical treatments as ordered
• Responds to immediate family member concerns regarding resident care.
• Administers medications in a safe and effective manner.
• Participates in the initial and subsequent updating of care requirements for each resident, including working with RN Director to determine level of care.
• Able to collaborate with health care professionals via phone or tele-med.
• Records each medication delivery from Pharmacy during the shift and ensures accuracy.
• Communicates with physicians, and other professional service providers, regarding resident care issues and the scheduling of appointments and transportation.
• Oversees the Nursing Assistants.
• Responds to any immediate need or emergency situation in the building
• Able to develop and implement care plan and update as needed.

Primary Requirements:

• Must possess an RN or LPN license
• Must be over 18 years of age
• Must have licensed in the BPOA PA Licensing System
• CPR/AED certification required
• Experience in long term care required
