PARISH SECRETARY

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish

Doylestown, PA

Normal Work Days/Hours

Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 10am 3pm

General Description of Duties:

As a Parish Secretary you will provide clerical and administrative support in the parish office.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support in the parish office.
  • Answers telephones; forwards calls and/or records and forwards messages accurately.
  • Maintains sacramental records
  • Enters data into Parish Data Base System (PDS) for Sunday contributions and updated records of parishioners
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma; College Degree (preferred)
  • Computer literate & fast learner (able to learn the Parish Date System if not currently familiar)
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Systems to include Word & Excel)
  • Able to provide or willing to obtain up to date State and Archdiocesan required clearances such as: Criminal Background Checks and Protecting God's Children Safe Environment training.
